Jeffrey Tomitz
The Y of Central Maryland has appointed Jeffrey Tomitz as a new member to its Anne Arundel County Community Advisory Board. As Tomitz begins his new role as a board member, he will play an integral part in promoting and supporting the mission and programs of the Y in Anne Arundel County.
Tomitz will also be responsible for raising funds to support the Y's community outreach activities, scholarship programs and capital requirements. He will work to build a strong local volunteer board that has the capacity and commitment to support the work of the Y in the Anne Arundel community by ensuring community-wide input and participation in key strategic decisions.
Tomitz is Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer at the American Council on Education in Washington, DC. Tomitz graduated from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and went on to earn a Masters of Business Administration Degree in Finance at American University in Washington, DC. Tomitz has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Association Executives, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Center for Creative Leadership, Leadership at the Peak. He currently resides in Crofton, Maryland.
