Shirley Matlock Named Regional Vice President for The Council of Residential Specialists COLUMBIA, MD, JANUARY 4 2012 - Mark Minchew, CRS, 2012 President of the Council of Residential Specialists announced recently that Shirley Matlock, CRS, has been appointed Regional Vice-President for the Council. Matlock will be responsible for Region 3 which includes: Maryland/DC, Virginia, Central Virginia and West Virginia. As one of only 17 Regional Vice Presidents throughout the country, Matlock will serve as a liaison between Chapters, the National Council and will aid in the development of the Chapters. In addition, Matlock will work with REALTOR© State associations to increase the awareness of the CRS designation, the highest designation awarded to REALTORS©. As a Regional Vice President, Matlock helps bring the Council of Residential Specialists to a local level and assists the over 32,000 professional members expand their skills and improve client service. The Council offers members advanced professional training, nationwide referral opportunities, sales and marketing support, and one-stop shopping: the latest market-tested products at a discount. Matlock has been an active member of the Council since 1996. Besides being a Regional Vice President, Matlock is involved in the Maryland Association of Realtors, the Stevenson University Alumni Board of Directors and the Howard County Agricultural Preservation Board, and is a member of the Howard County Association of Realtors.
