BALTIMORE - The Children's Guild named Gladys Graham chief operating officer of charter schools overseeing Monarch Academy, which includes two charter schools, one in Anne Arundel County and one in Baltimore City. In addition, she will design and conduct staff development and training for The Children's Guild charter and special needs schools.
Prior to joining The Children's Guild, Graham was the mid-Atlantic regional field director of Expeditionary Learning overseeing Expeditionary Learning schools in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. She worked for Expeditionary Learning for 11 years, first as a school designer.
Graham earned her Bachelor of Science in elementary education at the University of Cincinnati. She lives in Baltimore.
The Children's Guild is a child-serving organization composed of special needs schools in Baltimore City and Prince George's County serving children and adolescents who are difficult to educate due to autism, multiple disabilities and trauma from difficult experiences. In addition, The Children's Guild operates Monarch Academy public charter schools in Baltimore City and Glen Burnie providing rigorous academics, adventure-based learning and an enriched curriculum.
