Contracting Resources Group, Inc. (CRG), a consulting and services firm focusing in management and information technology solutions, has announced that it has received 8(a) STARS II Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) from the General Services Administration (GSA). The GSA 8(a) STARS II is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract vehicle. The contract award is a five (5) year base period through August 2016, and has the option to extend an additional five (5) years through 2021.

Using industry and government knowledge and capabilities, CRG offers the United States Federal Government a wide range of professional services across all agencies. Utilizing core competencies and specialized skills, CRG is able to assist government agencies with improving performance and accomplishing mission goals. CRG's method of taking a consultative and customized approach in each and every client relationship allows the company to continue to leverage a strong reputation while building a repeat client base. Through the GSA 8(a) STARS II program, CRG is better positioned to advance beyond its current market, and establish a stronger footing in expanded areas and partnerships.

The 8(a) STARS II GWAC is designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing information technology (IT) services or IT services-based solutions for the federal government. The 8(a) STARS II program is reserved exclusively for qualifying, certified, 8(a) small business concerns as the prime contractors. CRG was certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as an 8(a) company in August 2010.

A Baltimore-based company founded in July 2002, CRG applied for the 8(a) STARS II GWAC through GSA in June 2009, submitting to an extensive evaluation and review process. By receiving this contract award, the company will be able to offer government clients increased access to services, consulting processes, and proven solutions.

"CRG has a solid service history with our Federal Government clients, and we have proven our ability to deliver quality services and solutions. We are pleased that GSA recognizes our efforts by awarding us an 8(a) STARS II contract. It is an excellent addition to our growing list of contracts, and it will give our customers a preferred vehicle for rapid contract actions," said Dina DiPalo, President/CEO of Contracting Resources Group.
