ARD&H Member Jerald Lurie Receives Three Committee Appointments at MSBA, MBF Annual Meetings

BALTIMORE (July 5, 2011) - Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC (ARD&H) Member and Business Section Chair Jerald B. Lurie was appointed to three committee positions at the annual meetings of the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) and the Maryland Bar Foundation (MBF), an MSBA affiliate organization.
He now serves as co-chair of the MSBA Program Committee and as a member of its Local and Specialty Bar Liaison Committee. Additionally, he is the MBF's returning Grants Committee chairman.
A former recipient of the MSBA's Distinguished Service Award, he previously served several terms on MSBA's Board of Governors, chaired its Business Law Section Council and co-chaired its Judicial Appointments Committee.
Lurie, who joined ARD&H in 1982, concentrates his practice in the areas of business, real estate, employment, intellectual property, health care and tax law. Throughout his 37-year legal career, he has earned numerous accolades including election to Maryland Super Lawyers multiple times, a Legal Rating of Superb from AVVO and a Leadership in Law Award from The Daily Record.
Named in the 2011 edition of The Best Lawyers of America, he previously was named in Baltimore's Legal Elite by Smart CEO Magazine. He also was elected into Marquis Who's Who in American Law. A former board and faculty member of Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Lurie currently serves as president of The Simon E. Sobeloff Law Society, Baltimore Chapter.
He earned a bachelor's degree with high honors from the University of Maryland and a J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland, School of Law. Lurie resides in Baltimore County's Chestnut Ridge community with his wife, Eve.
