BALTMORE, MD - Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Maryland Mentoring Partnership (BBBS/MMP) today announced their new slate of officers and the addition of August "Augie" Chiasera and Eliza Graham to its Board of Directors.
"We are honored and excited to have such energetic, thoughtful and dynamic leaders like Augie and Eliza on the board," said Robin Tomechko, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Maryland Mentoring Partnership. "Their vision, business sense and unique backgrounds will add a fresh perspective as we continue to further our mission of helping all children and youth to reach their fullest potential through professionally supported mentoring relationships and a full range of services with quality standards and measurable impact".
August Chiasera is Senior Vice President of M&T Bank Corporation and Director of Bank Wide Transformation. Augie joined M&T Bank as an Executive Associate in 1993 and in his current capacity, leads all transformational initiatives across M&T Bank, including strategic off-shoring functions. He actively participates in a number of Baltimore community organization boards including: Center State Theater, Greater Baltimore Committee Leadership Program, Community College of Baltimore County Foundation and the American Heart Association.
Eliza Graham is Founder and CEO of Glam Global, LLC, maker of "Glam Globes", a customizable fashion ring. Graham and her Glam Globes have been featured on NBC's Today Show and in several magazines including Smart CEO, Life and Style. A portion of the company's profits are donated to several charitable organizations including BBBS/MMP and the Humane Society. Her public service includes a seat on the advisory board of the Academy of College and Career Exploration. Six years ago, Eliza created their mentoring program continues to help operate this program. Additionally, she serves as a board member of Civic Works and as class representative for the Greater Baltimore Committee Leadership Program.
