Winners of the Eleventh Annual Maryland Incubator Company of the Year Awards to be Announced During Program on June 2
WHAT:
Media are invited to attend the eleventh annual Maryland Incubator Company of the Year Awards, supported by the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED), the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), RSM McGladrey, Inc., and Saul Ewing LLP. The ceremony will recognize the achievement and potential among 22 current and graduate companies within Maryland's incubator network. The event will also feature novel technology demonstrations by the finalist companies.
This year's finalists include: 6th Street Commerce (ETC); Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc. (TAC); CosmosID (TAP); Emerald Sky Technologies (NEOTech); GM Biosciences, Inc. (FITCI); Group Z (NeoTech); KloudTrack (CIC); LiveHealthier, Inc. (RIC); Meridian BioGroup, LLC (FITCI); Moodlerooms (ETC); NeWo Technologies, LLC (TG); OmniSpeech, LLC (MTECH); Plant Sensory Systems, LLC (UMBC); Remedium Technologies, Inc. (TAP); Renova Life, Inc. (TAP); Resensys, LLC (TAP); SI Tec Consulting (NeoTech); StriaghterLine (ETC); Treeminer, Inc. (CIC); Unatek, Inc. (TAC); UR Solar Power, LLC (FITCI); and WellDoc (ETC).

Awards will be presented in various categories. This year the categories include Graduate Company of the Year, Green Company of the Year, Homeland Security Company of the Year Information Technology Company of the Year, Life Science Company of the Year, New Incubator Company of the Year, Technology Service Company of the Year, and Technology Transfer Company of the Year.
A committee made up of representatives from the business and investment communities, and sponsoring organizations select award recipients. The committee selects recipients based on a nomination form, on-site visits, and interviews with incubator managers and references. Finalists will have the opportunity to display their products and services at the awards ceremony. Award winners also receive an invitation to present at Early Stage East, a regional, early stage investment event.
