Hunt Valley, Md. - AAI Corporation, which includes the AAI Unmanned Aircraft Systems, AAI Logistics & Technical Services, and AAI Test & Training operating units of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, will be inducted into the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce's Business Hall of Fame on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Annually, the Chamber identifies and selects organizations with meaningful impact on Baltimore County's economy as inductees for its Business Hall of Fame.
Headquartered in Hunt Valley, Md., for more than sixty years, AAI's broad mix of defense and aerospace products and services has earned business from numerous U.S. customers, as well as international customers including the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy and Sweden. As a result of its robust business, AAI continues to hire in key areas including engineering and program management, and also has a thriving collegiate internship program.
"We've been a proud part of the Baltimore County community since AAI's founding in 1950," said Anna-Maria Palmer, AAI vice president of human resources and security. "AAI is made up of great people who work together to create great technologies and services for U.S. and allied armed forces, and that shines through with our induction to the Chamber of Commerce's Business Hall of Fame. It is a wonderful expression of the commitment we have to the community and to our customers."
AAI also is known locally for its workplace culture. Employee feedback has helped AAI earn a spot among Baltimore Business Journal's "Best Places to Work" every year since 2006, and the organization also was named to Baltimore Magazine's "Best Places to Work in 2011" based on factors including its formal mentoring program and benefit options.
