BALTIMORE -- According to an amended SEC filing, a hedge fund managed by David Oros, former chair of Aether Systems, Inc., has attained $6.7 million.

Global Domain Vector Fund LLC -- Series Sigma launched with $3 million in financing a year ago, as reported by citybizlist.

Global Domain Partners, LLC, a managed futures company run by Oros and Jonathan Capils, is the sponsor of the fund.

Oros was chairman and CEO of Aether Systems Inc., a provider of wireless and mobile data solutions, from 1996 until 2006. Since 2006, he has served as chairman of NexCen Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEXC), a vertically integrated brand acquisition and management firm. Oros is also chairman of Surroundart, a fine arts company. He sits on the board of the University of Maryland School of Nursing and Baltimore's Port Discovery Children's Museum.

Caplis joined Domain Partners in 2005, after beginning his career as a trader at Chesapeake Partners.
