Reisterstown, MD -- Baltimore Humane Society (BHS) is always thinking about how to give back to their community and thank the public from our pets. Each year, BHS has a food drive known as "Hope for the Holidays," and this year, BHS is supporting the Maryland Food Bank.

For the upcoming month of December, The Baltimore Humane Society will take 50% off our adoption fees for individuals who bring 10 or more items (separately) of "people" food as a donation to the Maryland Food Bank. Even though adoption fees are being discounted, donations are still appreciated with or without the adoption of a pet.

Items including macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, pasta, puddings, custards, evaporated milk, infant formula, oatmeal, and canned products such as fruits, vegetables, stews, soups, and meats, can be brought to the Baltimore Humane Society Adoption Center for donation to the Maryland Food Bank.

Due to the economic environment we are facing, BHS knows every little bit helps and we want to continue to support our community. For more information about the "Hope for the Holidays" Food Drive and how you can help, visit www.bmorehumane.org or call 410-833-8848 ext. 217.
